Rachael Ogonda: Abide In Him

Please can we meet you?
My name is Rachael Happiness Ogonda. I am a graduate of university of Benin. I am from Rivers State, and I am a baker and events planner.

Nations and their inhabitants are currently facing one challenge or the other due to the pandemic. As a Christian, How have you been able to handle the challenges as a result of the lockdown in various facets?
Yeah! The pandemic is so disheartening and a lot of people are having hard times but like you said as 'a christian' this is where the power to overcome the challenges comes from, as a christian I have been able to handle this challenges because I know God is with me and will never forsake me because I am His.

What was the strategy or wisdom of the Holy Spirit to help you during this trying time?
I will share two
• To always remember His promises using
Is. 43:1-2
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
These are Gods promises and I believe in them. His words are His and they are powerful. If He has promised to be with me in a time like this then I truly believe in Him.
• To always abide in Him using
Is. 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Abiding in God is simply waiting in God.
And to wait in God is to be obedient to him, keep our prayer altar burning and continually sing His praises.
Humanly speaking everyone is tired of this pandemic and can't wait for it to be over but if we can wait in God in times like this daily, He will renew my strength daily.

Interesting! You mentioned that you are a baker and event planner, is there a word of advice to anyone in that line of occupation or anyone interested?
Smiles!
What I will love to say here to anyone who is interested in this same line of business is that passion, patience, hardwork, committement and a joyful heart is the key to becoming successful.

Even in a time such as this?
Well, in a time like this I will still say the same thing. Even if every gathering (parties, wedding etc) are no longer permitted and we no longer have jobs as before. In all we still remain positive.

What will you always say to Jesus in the face of this pandemic?
Hmmm
I'm sure He knows what I will always say to Him because its never changing.
"I love you with my life, you are my resting place and I'm forever grateful to you"

Okay! Thank you for your time.
I'm grateful, God bless you.

My Testimony By Faith Dagana

Hey Guys, My name is Faith Dagana, I can genuinely say that God has really been faithful.. I gave my life to Christ in the month of December 2017. It has been an intriguing experience because I also received the gift of the Holy Spirit who is the helper, teacher, comforter, advocate and many more than words could explain. But there is something that has changed since I became I came into this relationship with the Holy Spirit and that is a great improvement in my health. I used to be the one to run to drugs for the slightest headache or pain. But ever since I got to know the Holy Spirit and the Word. I don't take drugs anymore. I just speak the Word and remind God of his promises to me and the pain goes away. Before now, my health was unstable, and I will always see drugs as the last resort. It's the sixth month since I took any form of medicine. I just want to give God the glory through this medium, because it is a miracle I can't take for granted, and I know He will...

My Testimony by Benjamin Okenna

MY Testimony 1: After I graduated from Secondary School I had only one choice of course/career in mind to pursue and that was to become a LAWYER! However for some strange reasons I just couldn't secure my dream admission to study LAW... After several years of frustration, I ended up with a Degree in POLITICAL SCIENCE...then one Monday morning after my FOOTBALL TRAINING a pastor who had come to pray with my team CITADEL FC (as was the custom every Monday Morning), while praying suddenly stopped and said "there's someone here that has something to do with the media (TV/Radio)" - at the time I was already a sportscaster so the whole team just Shouted SAWADINHO...Then he looked at me and said "the course you studied in school is not what you wanted...GOD said I should tell you that you'll go back and study LAW...that is his design for You" he then instructed that I go and apply and that I'll get in with ease! Shocked, I just stood there mouth open wi...

My Experience by Ferdinand Kenneth

Hello Guys , I am Ferdinand Kenneth and I reside and school in Rivers State, Nigeria. I believe communicating with others about Christ has honestly been the most fulfilling assignment in the entire world and on that note, This is an evangelical experience I had recently. I have a friend who I care for but for long now, she felt God was not looking out for her anymore because of the present situations in her family(permit me not to talk about it.) All I can say is these situations caused her to doubt on our heavenly father, thoughts rushed in as to why a loving father will allow unfair things to happen to good people and leave them in lack. I don't know if we have ever thought about that too, because I have. However, I must say that God used me to speak in a manner that touched her deeply, even to the point of sowing into her life. It reminded me of Faith and Works , something that will always blend together. In His words through me, I said to her:- " L ove is not in when ...
