Hello,
My name is Theophany Abidde, but in today's post, I am not the girl behind The Evangelist Blog but one sharing her experience. I hope it will be worthwhile reading it.
Recently, on the 14th May 2018, on reaching school, my course mates, Chisom and Favour and I decided to go for an hour out to speak with some students in campus..we were going to have lectures by 9:30am, so why wait for an hour and forty minutes doing nothing( except reading). In bright moods, we picked our bibles( small enough to fit into our bags).
We strolled to the car back behind the faculty of law in the Rivers state university, and shortly we were in front of department of mathematics at the science arena, and we prayed.
After which, we went separate ways by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The first set of persons I met where three young men, all three of them are engineering students, They stated that they where in a hurry for morning lectures, However they decided to give me a few minutes which wasn't few really(😊😁) . After speaking to them, and stating a few bible verses, it pleased me that one of them was sincere about some questions I asked, They all took the prayer of salvation(Yaaaaay).we held hands and prayed after I was done.
When they left, my attention drew to a couple of guys around the corner in the open field, they were about nine of them, in my mind; Go somewhere else, you have never spoken to that number all by yourself. But again, a still voice; Go, I am with you. I took the chance.
When they saw me approaching, some started laughing, and making jest, asking if I was about to repeat what I did with the other guys few minutes earlier. I said yes.
One of them, in all seriousness, told me to go on with what I wanted to do. I spoke to them after a short prayer, and they were quiet.. They listened, The Holy Spirit gave me courage even when some questions were asked.. I talked about addictions too, emphasising the need to feed their spirit with the spiritual food of the Word of God - The Bible ( I call it Jesus in written form) None decided to take the prayer of salvation but we prayed and thanked God,( at least they gave me audience)and they were friendly. I spoke to another student as well till I met up with my partners.
We thanked our Father for a glorious hour of evangelism, and we headed back to class to settle for the lectures. Now we can only pray for fruits that will abide or endure.
Dear Readers, I can honestly tell you that it brought light to my day, I laughed longer, and felt His love deeper throughout that day.
The thoughts of Him rested subconsciously in my heart.
So, it was a day well spent.
I am Theophany Abidde and this is my evangelical experience, share yours with The Evangelist Blog.
Light the world of another.
Fruits that will abide.
We can do more.
God bless you.
❤️
